I am a full-time Professional Guitar Tutor, with over 22 years teaching experience and 40 plus years playing experience, based in the Heath area of Cardiff. I offer lessons for Acoustic, Electric and Bass guitar. Styles and genres include Rock, Pop, Folk, Country, R&B, Indie, Blues and Jazz.
All age groups and all levels; from absolute beginners to those wishing to improve their existing knowledge and skills are welcome. My customers range from 7 years of age to people enjoying their retirement years.
Teaching is based on a set program of lessons which can be tailored to a particular musical style and exercises are alternated with learning pieces of the student’s own choice.
Lessons can be just for fun or for qualifications (using Trinity College or Rock School Rock and Pop grade courses). I also provide assistance to students studying for music GCSEs, A-levels and degrees in the form of guitar tuition and arrangement, plus composition and recording of the necessary pieces for course submission.
Recording facilities are available for those students wanting a permanent record of their endeavours.
Lessons are conducted on a one-to-one basis in a comfortable, friendly and relaxed environment. These are usually weekly, one hour long and can be held in the weekday daytime or evening.
Current tuition fee : £25 per hour.
